After further review of the new stay safe at home Ohio order businesses are being allowed to reopen including retail the 2nd week of May. With this in mind we will re-open our residential services Monday May 11th. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Residential Services

Cancellation of residential services extended.

We apologize to our residential clients that are expecting us in May and to our amazing team that was eagerly awaiting more hours but we will be extending our policy of not doing residential cleanings into the month of May. This was a change of plans due to the stay at home order being extended in Ohio.

Covid-19

Update concerning what Top-Notch Cleaning has done and will continue to do concerning the Covid-19 Virus epidemic.

  • Top-Notch Cleaning has postponed residential cleaning during the month of April. We will revisit residential cleaning as it draws closer to May 1st.
  • We have finally been able to purchase two (one for each office) medical grade and FDA approved external thermometers. They should arrive by the first week of April and effective immediately all staff will be scanned before there shift. Any staff member with a temperature reading of 100.4 will be sent home immediately.
  • All staff that is feeling ill is asked to remain home. If a staff member comes into work feeling ill, they will be sent home and must remain off per Ohio law for 72 hours.
  • All staff is advised to wear gloves during their shift.
  • We continue to offer our staff masks to wear during their shift.
  • Both offices and all company vehicles have hand sanitizer available.
  • At the end of each shift our staff is advised to clean and disinfect all high-touch areas in the crew’s company vehicle and equipment.
  • Top-Notch has invested heavily into our electrostatic cleaning and disinfecting systems that are scheduled to arrive around mid-May. We are thrilled to roll this state-of-the-art service out to the public but also for use in our offices and all company vehicles.
  • Top-Notch Cleaning recently passed on a large new account above Washington, PA. We did this due to the area closer to Pittsburgh, PA having a much higher rate of Covid-19 cases.
  • Over the past few weeks several of our commercial clients have asked questions like the ones listed below. While we want to do everything, we can to assist our valued clients we have politely declined all work tied in anyway to the epidemic. In both real-life cases listed below Top-Notch Cleaning suggested other options and passed on the additional work.
    • In our plant area we recently had someone around an individual confirmed with a case of Covid-19. Can Top-Notch clean their equipment?
    • IF we would eventually have a staff member dealing with a case of Covid-19 can Top-Notch clean their areas of work?

Residential Cleaning

With the safety of our staff and clients in mind we will be suspending residential cleaning through the month of April. We hope to reopen services May 1st. All upcoming scheduled appointments will be contacted to make sure clients are aware of this policy change.

Statement concerning at Home Order

I want to pass along an update to our staff and valued clients. Today the State of Ohio placed a Director’s Stay at Home Order and you can view the full attachment of this order at the link below. On page 6 of this order it clearly states that cleaning and janitorial staff are considered a critical trade. A large part of our clients are high risk individuals needing our services, as well as the many commercial clients that will remain open (financial, medical, auto repair, industrial, law, media and so on). Top-Notch Cleaning has placed a call (left a VM) to the Ohio Department of Health and discussed this with our legal council to confirm.

TO OUR VALUED CLIENTS: We will take it day by day, but at this time the services we provide have never been more needed. Top-Notch Cleaning will be cleaning and disinfecting our clients this week as planned. Calls will be made to all clients confirming your appointments and upcoming schedules.

TO OUR AMAZING TEAM: We will continue to follow all guidelines concerning any staff member not feeling well (with a fever). You will have to stay home until you are feeling better or at least 72 hours as legally mandated. Top-Notch Cleaning will continue to provide each office and vehicle with hand sanitizer and masks. Please be diligent with wiping clean and disinfecting high-touch areas at our offices and vehicles.

Top-Notch Cleaning will do everything in it’s power to keep all staff on it’s typical work schedule and hours. Laying off staff is the absolute last resort. As our dayshift schedule fluctuates, our staff may need to pick up a mid-day shift or afternoon shift to accommodate these unchartered times.
